Martin County Water - riverwalk in Storie

One of the most impressive features planned within Storie is the unique interaction between land and water. A European-style, system of waterways is designed to meander throughout the community, allowing residents and visitors alike 24-hour access to the beauty of these waterways.

Larger, freshwater lakes might allow for non-motorized boats and a fishing pier to give anglers a chance to land a prized catch. This special connection between water and community may quietly be helping create a healthier natural environment, too. The innovative system within the community could help filter and clean water as it moves along its natural path from inland toward the headwaters of the South Fork and beyond.

There would be no prettier spot to take this all in than the proposed village center. Plans call for seating and gathering spots along the waterfront so residents can enjoy local dining and visiting shoppers can watch as kayaks and paddleboards float by. The Village Center may become a vibrant area for meeting friends or co-workers to enjoy the day or soak in the sunset views.
